Up the coast is Dawlish Warren that can be reached by car or train or, for those energetic types, a walk along the sea wall. Further afield, Dawlish mainline station offers access to Exeter, Exmouth, Torquay, Paignton or even Plymouth, trains are plentiful. Region Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed.
