Higham is a delightful village settled into Derbyshire, with great access to the Peak District National Park. The village offers a local pub, The Greyhound, as well as a convenience store, and you can find more amenities, eateries, and pubs at Alfreton, as well as Alfreton Park. There are many places to visit close to the village, including the bustling city of Sheffield, ideal for a shopping trip or watching a football match. Guests can also visit Matlock with its independent shops, pubs, and Lumsdale Waterfall walks, Matlock Bath where you can find an aquarium, arcades, the Heights of Abraham, and riverside walks, Bakewell with its pretty shops and eateries, and attractions such as National Trust - Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, and Chatsworth House. The village is ideally situated for exploring the incredible Peak District National Park, offering climbing, hiking, watersports activities, mountain biking trails, and birdwatching opportunities. A selection of the many walks available include Dovedale, The Roaches, Three Shires Head, Thor’s Cave, Froggatt Edge, and Robin Hood’s Stride.
