Ashford is a luxurious part of wicklow. It’s a desirable exclusive residential location on Dublin commuter belt. Wicklow town is 10 minutes in the car and has larger supermarkets etc. This stunning house is located close to the motorway so its easy access from Dublin airport and all the ferry ports in Ireland. It’s an ideal location to do many day trips. The poet Seamus Heaney lived in Granmore Ashford for 5 years in 1970's. He continued to visit this place as it was one of his great loves. Gorey is the best town in Ireland to find lots of ladies boutiques which is 25 minutes away. You will also find some nice boutiques in Greystones and you also must visit Avoca. We are lucky to have the Avoca cafe and shop in Ashford village but a larger Avoca handweavers is in Kilmacanogue and it has clothes, food, restaurant, cafe and so much more. The Happy pear is also nearby and is a famous place to eat some healthy vegetarian foods in Greystones. Day trips I would also recommend other day trips to places like Waterford, Kilkenny, Belfast and Boyne valley in Meath and Japanese gardens in Kildare and of course Dublin city which has lots of places that you must visit. They are all within two hours from this ideal touring location. Dublin city is within one hour. We have lots of recommendations for places to eat, some are walking distance, some deliver food and some in Wicklow town, Greystones, Bray, Kilmacanogue and Laragh and even Dublin city. Films Ashford is obviously well known for the home of Ashford Studios. They are currently filming the Vikings. Wicklow has attracted many other well known films for the amazing sceneries, such as Braveheart, Exalibur, Veronica Guerin, PS I Love you and so many more. Golf This house is also close to many Golf courses, Wicklow, Glen Mill, Druid's Glen, Powercourt, The European Club and Blainroe in Brittas Bay, and the stunning Woodenbridge golf course. These are just to name a few in the area. Spa Wicklow has many spas if you would like to be pampered. Two hair dressers within walking distance. Some of the best spa's include powercourt Espa, Rainforest Summerhill, Well Macreddin. Wicklow town and Bray have the best beauticians Eden and Carrigg. They both do a lot of advanced treatments.
