Boat hire is available on Caragh Lake for free fishing. Description The outdoors enthusiast can visit Cappanalea Outdoor Education Centre, which offers a variety of adventure sports for all ages. Nearby Killorglin is well worth a visit for pints of Guinness or delicious dining in one of the many fine restaurants, where the seafood is always a speciality. Guests can enjoy a nature trail through Blackstones Native Oakwood, part of Killarney National Park. The wood is dominated by Bessie oak, but birch, holly, and ground layer species are also well represented. The woodland is bound on both sides by the upper and small Caragh Rivers, with 21 hectares now preserved as part of the Native Woodland Scheme, a programme dedicated to enhancing existing nature woodlands.
