It’s on a working farm, so expect to see folk harvesting apples (you can buy the produce in the on-site shop) and free-range chooks roaming around. After heart-soaring sunsets, the sky feels like it’s filled with infinite stars – best enjoyed by the warmth of the fire pit or soaking in the outdoor bathtub. Inside, the twinkling stringed lights adorning wooden ceilings are a nod to the night sky, and a sleek kitchen, huge wood-burning stove and vast, open-plan set-up feel like complete luxury. Home truths: *This home is set within a working apple orchard, so you may see your hosts harvesting fruit and tending to the trees during your stay. Between mid-February and the end of July the farm is open to the public. *There is a working dog on the farm and plenty of livestock around so if you're not an animal person, this is not the place for you. *Your hosts are on-hand during the day but are unavailable after 5pm every night and you may be required to change the gas canister yourself if it runs out. *In a super remote location, having a car is essential and there is private parking. *Your host provides starter firewood and you can buy more in the local town. *Due to a nearby, unfenced body of water, this place is not suitable for kids.
