This location in Cavan offers many more attractions beside fishing, such as golfing, swimming, riding etc. Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants can be found in the town of Cavan. Everyone is guaranteed a peaceful holiday here in Inishmore which is surrounded by water and unspoilt rural countryside. We extend a Cead Mile Failte - a hundred thousand welcomes - to Inishmore! Inishmore Cottage is a 2 bedroom self catering cottage located uphill overlooking Carrafin lake and private jetty. The cottage was built in 2006 on a 30 acre dairy farm which extends to the shores of Carafin Lake beside "the Weir" and 300 mtrs down the road from the river Erne at Carratraw Bridge. The click here will show you more about our location. The Lynch family have run a modern farm guest house for over 40 years, and also run a medium sized dairy farm. The cottage has it own decking and BBQ area with its private car park. The cottage is spacious comprising of a large sitting room and kitchen, two bedrooms (one ensuite) and a separate bathroom. The two bedrooms sleep up to 6 people with a double and a single bed in each, one bedroom is ensuite. Butlersbridge: Butlersbridge is a picturesque village sited on the Annalee River just 5km north of Cavan town on the N3. Nearby Annagh lake provides both fly-fishing and swimming. Cavan Equestrian Centre and County Cavan Golf Club are close by. The Radisson Blu Farnham Estate is just 5km from Butlersbridge and the Slieve Russell Hotel and Championship Golf Club is 21km away. The local pubs are famous for good food and weekend entertainment. Local pub and restaurant, The Derragarra Inn, has won many awards and is noted for its 'mock thatched' roof and its displays of various agricultural and domestic artefacts. The Catholic Church in the village was designed in the early 1860s by the famous Cavan architect William Hague Junior. Game Angling on the River Annalee is popular and a permit is required. There is good fishing at Deredis near Butlersbridge.
