Description
We just love Min y Mor holiday cottage - it's very quirky and contemporary, with a calm atmosphere. This Grade II Listed cottage was the home of the artist Sir Kyffin Williams, whose studio was beside the house. Now completely refurbished by its new incumbent artist, Sophie Keir, it is a peaceful, relaxing sanctuary. "What a spectacular location, once the home of Sir Kyffin Williams, this is an absolutely fabulous holiday house, you could want for no more."Located on the south east corner of Anglesey, with the waters of the Menai Strait lapping in front of you, and the mountains of Snowdonia forming an impressive backdrop, this is an idyllic setting. It is also steeped in history. Looking down the Strait, you'll see a phenomenal feat of engineering - the tubular bridge built by Stephenson where the entrance is guarded by magnificent limestone lions, made by John Thomas, who also worked on the House of Commons and Buckingham Palace. In the distance is the splendid statue of Admiral Lord Nelson which was crafted by another Admiral - Admiral Clarence Paget.Enjoy sitting and watching the boats and the birds pass by. At night there is little light pollution so you can see the moon rising from behind the mountains. A truly magical spot.
