(Reference number: 72033) Step into the rugged scenery and captivating coastline of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way then allow yourself to be nourished by Newbrook House, a captivating 17th Century converted granary. Lose yourself in the magic of its ancient orchard, breathtaking walled garden where the magic of the faeries is all pervading. The tranquility and essence of Newbrook House serves to nourish even the most weary of souls. We offer our guests a plethora of experiential delights, handpicked by us and tailored to individual requirements. Newbrook House was a part of a greater estate belonging to the affluent Lord Clanmorris in the 17th and 18th centuries. One night, after a raging fire engulfed the acreage, the property was raised to the ground in its entirety, save for the granary. This granary is today known as Newbrook House. Down a little boreen off the village road, the house and gardens of Newbrook are embraced by the ancient stone-walled garden of the former Clanmorris estate. It was these walls that protected Newbrook from the clambering flames that felled the manor house centuries ago, and you can still feel a great sense of security and peace as you walk amongst the green today. History: Newbrook has converted over the years from a historic granary to a beautiful home and self contained wing thanks to the loving care and considered transformation of its various owners. Today, we celebrate a culmination of all this history, and invite guests to enjoy the perfect harmony of past and present. The areas surrounding Newbrook House are also no stranger to bygone times, with well-known characters gracing an appearance including Richard and Patricia Nixon, Ronald Regan and the Pope. As with all things in history, Newbrook House is an ever-evolving story, and with each guest the narrative continues. We look forward to welcoming you to this hidden gem, where you will find yourself in awe of and inspired by the magic that is the Wild West of Ireland.
