Nestled in the heart of the Karst region – often known as the Slovenian Tuscany – you'll find this unique home. In fact, it's actually two homes rather than one, connected by a luscious garden, making this the perfect place for you to find your own little patch of peace and quiet.
The main house is a villa with over four hundred years of history within its walls – the traditional wooden beams and original stone architecture are testaments to its long past. However, then modern furnishings and trendy multi-level layout for up to three guests brings it firmly into the present, as does the contemporary pavilion space, which sleeps two. When you get hungry, you can pick between the state-of-the-art indoor kitchen and the summer kitchen, complete with a grill for an alfresco feast. Your host will even provide a welcome basket of local produce, including some delicious local wine to sip in the garden as the sun goes down.
From here, you can explore the quaint town of Dutovlje and enjoy a slower pace of life as you unwind, perhaps visiting some of the nearby vineyards. There are some lovely walks through the surrounding countryside, and your host will provide bicycles for you to use as you explore. Then, when you return home from your adventures, you can enjoy a long soak in the hot tub under the stars.
