The picturesque streets and narrow lanes open out into elegant squares bustling with live music and a great selection of eateries to satisfy all tastes. A lively, colourful, thriving town, Clonakilty is home to a Blue Flag sandy beach, and is located close to the popular seaside resort of Inchydoney, where there is a surfing school available, perfect for a fun, family day out. With the West Cork Railway Village, leisure centre, cinema and an abundance of local beaches, Clonakilty is a great family destination, and is a town that knows how to please its visitors. Only 8 miles away lies the town of Rosscarbery, which dates back to the 6th century. Nowadays, it benefits from a lovely laid-back, relaxed atmosphere, with quaint little shops, good Irish pubs and quality restaurants.
