Area Located in the heart of Lincolnshire close to Grantham, Sleaford, and Spalding, Folkingham is a quaint little village. The Domesday Book of 1086 records the village's existence, but it was most likely founded as an Anglo-saxon settlement in the sixth century. Although the once-impressive Folkingham Castle no longer stands in the village, its site can still be seen today. The village now features a convenience store where guests can pick up food and other supplies for their own cooking, as well as a pub called The New Inn. Belton House, owned by the National Trust and located in the nearby market town of Grantham, is a magnificent manor house from the 17th century complete with an orangery and extensive grounds where you can go for a stroll and, if you're lucky, see some of the local deer.
