The area is excellent for hikers, with Alfriston located at the eastern end of the South Downs Way. There are trails suitable for every length of walk, whether you want to amble around the countryside or hike all the way to Eastbourne. Eastbourne Beach is twenty-four minutes away, with its marvellous pier. Spend a day at the beach or pop there for fish and chips after admiring the views from Birling Gap. The cottage is perfectly situated for a country break. Whether you want to spend your time enjoying the Great Outdoors or prefer to soak up the village atmosphere from the pub, you’ll love staying here.
