There's a lovely flower-filled garden at the front of the property, which might seem odd until you realise that it's south-facing and receives plenty of sunshine — when it decides to make an appearance in this corner of Yorkshire. When it does, there's a whole lot to see and do nearby, including countless historic sights, such as Wainhouse Tower on the Wainhouse Heritage Trail four minutes' walk away, and Shibden Hall reached in just under an hour on foot. Alternatively, the charming town of Hebden Bridge takes around a quarter of an hour to reach in the car and the Peak District starts half an hour's drive from your front door.
