Situated just outside the delightful village of Ambleside, Walker's Retreat is the perfect base for a holiday exploring the Lake District. Please note: the neighbouring house will be having a tunnel built under the drive from 4 November 2024 until mid to late February 2025. Work will be 6 days a week from 8am but builders will be respectful and keep any associated noise to a minimum; they will also be on hand to help with luggage if needed. Most of November will be quiet as the concrete will need a month to set once it has been poured. The nearest car park whilst the work takes place is Lake Road Car Park a short walk away and the owners will be covering the cost of any parking receipts provided.
