Description
Many of the houses in this area were constructed on the lands that once belonged to Kimmage Manor. Although the Manor is most associated now with a seminary and church, the lands were actually in private ownership until 1911, with the oldest records showing a castle on the lands as early as 1641. The development of the Manor lands gave a significant boost to an area that had very few new homes built since the 1960’s. No 11 Wainsfort Manor Crescent is a three bedroomed home located off the Wainsfort Road. EXPLORE INSIDE We generally try to avoid the term ‘blank canvas’ but in this case it fits the bill. Neutral tones dominate throughout, just waiting for a splash of personality. Current décor trends would definitely suggest that an infusion of colour is on the cards in the not too distant future. Double doors between the sitting room and kitchen-dining area mean the ground floor can operate as an open plan space, but with the fallback of separate rooms when needed. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, with master ensuite, a family bathroom and airing cupboard. EXPLORE OUTSIDE There is off-street parking to the front and a mature, well sheltered, garden to the rear. The magic number here is twenty. Twenty minutes walking (less by car or bike) will bring you to Templeogue, Terenure, Bushy Park, Rathfarnham Shopping Centre, schools (junior and senior), Swimming Pools, and lots more. And for trips further afield there are lots of buses available; pedestrian access through to Whitehall Road adds many additional routes, including routes to universities including DCU and UCD. THE BOTTOM LINE The most difficult decision facing the new owner of this home will probably be ‘paint or wallpaper’. It’s a great family home in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with access to fantastic facilities.
