This scheme is aimed at first-time buyers, "freshstarters" and a limited category of second-time buyers.
Located in Ferrybank, Abbeymeadows is in an excellent location just 10 minutes drive from Waterford City. The much-anticipated North Quays project, one of the largest investments ever seen in Waterford and the South East, will include a pedestrianized link from Ferrybank directly to the city centre.
Every home will achieve an A2 BER rating will be fitted with third generation air to water heat pump unit and high levels of floor, wall and roof insulation throughout making them highly energy efficient.

The Affordable Purchase Scheme allows eligible purchasers buy homes at reduced prices. Through this scheme, Kilkenny City and County Council takes a percentage equity stake (share of the ownership) in the home equal to the difference between the open market value of the property and the reduced price paid by the purchaser. The scheme is aimed at first-time buyers and fresh starters but there are other exceptions to this. To be eligible to apply for Affordable Housing applicants must meet certain income, property and residency criteria.
