The House and Garden of Castletore
Castletore is a wonderful light filled home, with a lovely positive feel and we have enjoyed all of our time here. The beautiful views of mountains and sea from every window change with the weather and season so there is always something new to look at.
It has been lovingly renovated and kept like a new pin just like the previous owners kept it. Its spacious, yet compact design allows for all the modern necessities to be tucked away for a streamlined and modern look. It is cozy in the winter with the stove as the heart of the house and in summer the sun beams in through the south facing patio doors and illuminates the views while filling the rooms with light.
Living in this house combines country living with the convenience of suburbia. Everything is on the doorstep including friendly neighbors, amenities, transport, lush green countryside, spectacular views, security and waking up to bird song and the clip clop of horses passing the house.
The very special, landscape designed sun courtyard garden to the rear of the house was specifically designed with all year colour, and wildlife in mind. Attracting bees, butterflies and birds to this little wildlife haven with clever landscaping and planting. Subtle shades of pink, purple and blue attract honeybees, bumblebees and solitary bees not to mention butterflies and ladybirds. The birds like it so much that 28 species have visited in the last year including a woodpecker.
The ancient olive tree has pride of place in the center of the garden. The golden colured, local stone, raised beds and paths that surround this tree make this bright lively garden very easy to maintain.
Many herbs have been planted close to the back door and further designs are available for a kitchen garden, orchard, wild flower meadow and pond. Accommodation
