Location
Carraroe is a lovely coastal village and derives its name from An Cheathrú Rua, the red quarter or the russet rocky land. It is a popular holiday area for Irish speakers being in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht and also attracts many visitors who come to appreciate the wonderful scenery in the area. Several of the early Christian sites in the vicinity have been associated with the saints of Aran but the area appears to have been inhabited at an even earlier age by prehistoric people. There are many facilities including a church, schools, pubs, restaurants, Post Office and supermarkets in the area, the property is 1mile from the village.
Garden
The plot extending to c 2 acres enjoys lovely natural scenery over fields and hills in the distance. The driveway has a tarmacadam finish with lawn areas to the front. The rear gardens have excellent potential to be developed further to take advantage of the lovely trees on the site and along its boundary. The fields are enclosed by traditional stone walls.
