Why should I advertise my property with MyHome.ie?

MyHome.ie is the single largest property advertising website in the country with almost 800 Estate Agent offices and thousands of new and second-hand homes on the site at any one time. MyHome.ie is a one-stop-shop for house hunters receiving over 1 million individual visitors monthly. MyHome.ie is a direct and cost-effective way of showing your property to potential buyers/tenants.

How do I register for MyHome.ie?

To o register as a member of MyHome.ie simply click on the ‘Sign Up’ link which appears at the top right of every page on the website. Next, fill out the basic details required for registration and click 'Create.’ Once registered you will be able to save brochure pages and set up property alerts. You will also be able to advertise as a private landlord. For more information, please see ‘Are you a Private Landlord?’ section.

How do I add and/ or remove a saved search or property alert?

  1. On MyHome.ie search for property with your specified criteria i.e. Location, price, type etc.
  2. When the search results are displayed, click on 'Create Email Alert' at the top left of the search results.
  3. This property search will now be added to your saved searches and alerts.
  4. To receive email alerts on your saved searches:
  1. Sign in.
  2. Go to Account Overview.
  3. Go to the Saved Search you want to receive email alerts on.
  4. Click on the drop-down menu.
  5. Choose how often you would like to receive the alerts.
  6. All done! – You will now receive property alerts via email on the selected searches.
  7. To remove an alert, click on the bin icon on your saved result

How can I reset my password?

Don't worry if you have forgotten your password as you can reset it. All you have to do is:

  1. Go to the MyHome account login page.
  2. Click on 'Forgot Password?' and ‘Send Password Reset Email.’
  3. You will then receive an email with a link which will allow you to reset your password.
  4. Once you confirm your new password you are ready to sign in again.

I am interested in a property. Who do I contact?

If you wish to find out more about a property advertised on MyHome.ie, you must contact the Estate Agent or Private Landlord who is advertising the property directly, by either clicking the ‘Email Agent’ or ‘Call Agent’ button.

MyHome.ie is listed on the Property Price Register, why is this?

The Property Price Register is a database of sold properties that is run by the PSRA and Revenue Commissioners, as part of a Government Act. MyHome only hosts this data on the website. Any changes to the Price Register information have to be made with the PSRA. For further details visit www.propertypriceregister.ie

Are you a Private Landlord?

Can I advertise a property to sell as a Private Landlord?

Private Landlords cannot advertise their properties For Sale, only To Let/Share. If you are interested in advertising your property For Sale, you must contact a participating MyHome Estate Agent. To find your nearest MyHome agent, use our ‘Find Agent’ search tool. Alternatively, ask your preferred Estate Agent to contact MyHome about signing up with us through one of our account managers. Do I need to sign up with MyHome.ie in order to advertise properties?

Yes, in order to advertise properties, you must create an account on MyHome.ie.

How do I register for MyHome.ie?

To register as a MyHome user simply click on the ‘Sign Up’ link which appears at the top right of every page on the website. Next, fill out the basic details required for registration and click 'Create'. Once registered you will be able to save brochure pages and set up property alerts. How can I reset my password?

How do I advertise my Property on MyHome.ie?

When you log in to your MyHome account, click on ‘Place/Edit Ads’ which will either bring up your existing adverts or bring you directly to the payment plans page. Depending on your property type, you must select what type of advert you are creating; Rental, Holiday Home, Commercial or Sharing, and whether you are interested in opting for a Premium option. Click on ‘Select Option’, fill in the required property details and proceed to the payment stage.

What does my ad include?

Your property brochure advertisement will include:

  • A full property description
  • Unlimited photographs & floor plans
  • Option to include a video & virtual tour
  • Unique mapping facility which pinpoints the exact location of your property

How can I change the details on my property advert once it is live?

Once you have activated and paid for your advert, and it has been approved, you will be able to see it on your MyHome account by clicking on ‘Place/Edit Ads.’ Clicking on the Pencil icon will allow you to enter the advert and add, remove and edit any details that you want. There is no limit to the number of edits that can be made.

How long will my property advert be live on the site?

Depending on the plan that you have selected, your advert will either be live for 90 days (3 months) or for 6 months. If you want to deactivate the advert before the end of your live period, you can do so from your account by clicking ‘Deactivate.’ If you wish to pause the advert, you must contact us at rentals@myhome.ie, and again once you are ready to reactivate it

Can I advertise Commercial properties on MyHome.ie?

Yes, you can advertise Commercial properties located in the Republic of Ireland on MyHome.ie. This works the same way as our residential property listings, you must only select a different payment plan

Can I advertise Overseas properties on MyHome.ie?

Private Landlords cannot advertise Overseas properties on MyHome.ie. If you own a property outside of the Republic of Ireland and are interested in advertising your property To Let/ For Sale you must contact a participating MyHome Estate Agent. To find your nearest MyHome agent, use our ‘Find Agent’ search tool. Alternatively, ask your preferred Estate Agent to contact MyHome about signing up with us through one of our account managers. For more information, please see ‘Are you an Estate Agent?’ section or email us at enquiries@myhome.ie.

You are however able to advertise a rural property within the Republic of Ireland as a Holiday Home. This works the same way as our residential property listings, you must only select a different payment plan

What is the cost of advertising on MyHome.ie?

I have two out of four bedrooms available to rent in my house, can I do this on MyHome.ie?

I listed my property for rent with MyHome.ie before, how can I reactivate it?

We have updated our systems to ensure we provide you with the best possible service. Because of this, the first time you wish to advertise a rental property after 01/10/2019 you will need to create the ad again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

What details would you recommend I include in my advert?

We recommend clear photos of the property taken in good light, both indoor and outdoor; details about the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen information; BER details, furnished/ non furnished, local amenities and distance to public transport/ main roads etc.

What is not allowed within a property description?

Please read the act ‘Discrimination in the provision of accommodation services is prohibited by the Equal Status Acts 2000 – 2015 (“the ESA”)’ for further information around what is and is not permitted.

My ad is not appearing on MyHome.ie, what can I do?

Please contact us at rentals@myhome.ie and we will reply as soon as possible. Please note the MyHome office is open Mon-Fri 9-5.30 exc. Weekends and Bank Holidays.

How long will my ad be listed for on MyHome.ie for?

I only want to rent for 3 months at a time, do you have a short-term rental section?

When you are creating your advert in your account, in the details section you can select how long the tenancy is available for.

Can I say no to pets?

Please read the act ‘Discrimination in the provision of accommodation services is prohibited by the Equal Status Acts 2000 – 2015 (“the ESA”)’ for further information around what is and is not permitted.

How long will I have to wait for my ad to appear on the website?

Please allow 24hrs for your ad to be approved and published online. 24 hours refers to one business day. Weekends and Bank Holidays may affect this.

My ad says rejected, why is this?

Please read the act ‘Discrimination in the provision of accommodation services is prohibited by the Equal Status Acts 2000 – 2015 (“the ESA”)’ for further information around what is and is not permitted.

In the event that your ad is rejected by one of our team members, you will receive a full refund.
